Washashore Farm first dug its roots in 2016, founded by Daniel Southey. With a background in hospitality, he had no farming experience, but was looking to make a career change. Luck struck, when someone from Sustainable Nantucket approached the staff at the hotel where Daniel was working, inquiring if anyone was interested in taking over a farm plot. What began as a "summer" volunteer position has blossomed into an expanding farm that provides produce for local restaurants, markets and private chefs.
